The Individualized Major is for students who wish to pursue interests that are not emphasized in any major at the College. Students may combine courses from different departments in order to create an interdisciplinary major. Students wishing to pursue an Individualized Major must write a plan during their freshman or sophomore year to explain the purpose of the Individualized Major and show how each course selected fits into the plan. The Individualized Majors should be planned in consultation with an advisor and must then be approved by the Humanities/Interdisciplinary Studies Chair.*

Our students are provided the tools to effectively contribute and manage in a highly dynamic, complex multinational marketplace. Language, culture, diversity and history take equal place with business and technical fundamentals.
We welcome applications from students from around the world and, of course, from a wide variety of educational systems. We do not take into consideration an applicant's race, religion, gender, national origin or country of citizenship in determing admission to the University's programs.
Although we operate a rolling admissions system and there is no application deadline, many visas and foreign exchange authorities often require long and rather complicated formalities.
Therefore, we strongly advise applicants who require visas to apply at least two months before the beginning of the semester in which they plan to enroll.

All students applying for Bachelor of International Studies degree must satisfy the entry requirements set by the DIS admission committee. Various entry channels are offered all-year-round for domestic and international students:

The minor in international relations requires the completion of Econ 305 or Econ 306, Pols 109, Pols 229, Pols 309 and one course from the Applied Topics Courses of the major program.
International Business
International Business is the field of study that focuses on business activities that cross national boundaries. It includes exports and imports, traditional international trade discussions, and direct foreign investment. International banking, transfer of technology, exchange rates, international law, and global business strategies are explored. Problems facing decision-makers in the international environment and their effects on domestic businesses are studied, as well as how intercultural business agreements are established. Graduates receive a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business.
