The Department of Business Administration began in 1967 with a transfer program, an Associate Degree in Accounting and an Associate Degree in Management. In the year 1980 due to economic and industrial development in the region east of the island, authorizing the Department to offer a bachelor's degree in General Business Administration and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with concentration in Human Resources Management. In 1982, approves the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration with concentration in Accounting and in 2003 approved the merger in International Trade.
