International Affairs program at Florida State University
Undergraduate Program
Synopsis : The International Affairs program at Florida State University is an interdisciplinary program based on courses in ten different departments and one school. The major is designed to provide students with a fundamental knowledge of the field of international affairs and a background suited to the intelligent observation of global affairs. The International Affairs major leads to a liberal arts degree and combines the advantages of a broad background in the related disciplines along with a somewhat greater vocational emphasis than the most general of liberal arts degrees. Employment opportunities are to be found in government service, international organizations (public, private and non-profit), business, journalism and teaching. Internship opportunities are available. Students also are encouraged to devote a semester to study abroad at one of the Florida State University Study Centers.
