Admission MSc International Business at Helsinki School of Economics

Sunday, February 1st, 2009

Following the degree renewal it is no longer possible to study International Business at the Bachelor level.

There are two separate application procedures to enter the Master’s Degree Program in International Business. The first one is through internal application. This route is meant for students who have been selected to complete both B.Sc and M.Sc. degrees at HSE. The other route is through the external application procedure, which is meant for students who have completed their Bachelor’s degree in some other university and are only applying to complete a M.Sc. degree at HSE.

The Master’s Degree Program in International Business has attracted the most applications in recent years. In 2005 37% of all Master’s level applications to the Helsinki School of Economics were for the International Business program. In 2006, 57 students indicated IB as their primary choice and 48 as secondary. In 2007 the respective numbers were 63 and 53. 35 students have been selected each year through the external route. First time in 2008, there will be two Master’s Program tracks: International Business and Internationall Business/CEMS that will be a double degree. The deadline for applying is June 5th 2008.

The application procedures are outlined in the admission guide (link to admission page). Please note that applicants must have excellent English language abilities because the program is conducted completely in English.
