International Business Co-op program

The program examines international business issues from a strategic perspective while offering exposure to several disciplines including international management, marketing, finance, as well as international aspects of politics, economics, and sociology. Students benefit from the program’s practical orientation toward the exporting of goods and services, dealing with the challenges of a complex multicultural and multilingual marketplace, and exposure to the legal implications of operating within a global environment.
Performing on-site audits of international standards procedures and implementation
Studying the implications and repercussions of international policy change on domestic and international markets
Local and international sourcing, allocation and distribution of industrial materials
Short and long term forecasts for product sales and competition in key markets

International Business

The International Business program enables you to become business fluent in global business culture and language. Global business languages include English, French, German, Spanish or other university-approved languages. This language requirement pertains to all International Business students, regardless of your current language expertise.

The first two years of this program introduce you to the world of international business, complemented by general education and specific language study. The final two years offer more advanced business courses with an emphasis on international experience.

Electives
Customize your degree further by taking career and free electives (a total of three to five courses). Free electives are chosen from general studies courses taught at the John Hazen White School of Arts and Sciences. Your faculty advisor will work with you to tailor a program to your interests and career goals.

Graduates are expected to show competencies in higher order thinking, ethics, responsible citizenship and leadership.

Concentrations
A concentration is an opportunity to pursue in-depth, a subject or area of special interest to you. As a student in the Management degree program you can focus on:
