MBA in International Business at Schiller International University

The 45-credit MBA degree program in International Business can be completed within two semesters and a summer session on a full-time basis, or in two years on a part-time basis if students have their undergraduate in business studies. Coursework for the Master of Business Administration degree emphasizes the detailed aspects of international marketing, management, finance, and economics.

The wealth of information available in public libraries, embassies, high commissions, and various international organizations makes important contributions to Schiller’s programs of study in business. Coursework for the Master of Business Administration degree emphasizes the detailed aspects of international marketing, management, finance, and economics. Degree requirements have been designed to provide practical knowledge and training for future business executives.

Admission Requirements:

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree (or its equivalent).
Bachelor’s degree with a major in business studies or economics, provided that core courses in the following areas have been completed: economics, statistics, business law, marketing, management, and accounting.
Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in a non-business field, followed by a post-bachelor’s study in business. For admission to the part-time MBA program on weekends at the Strasbourg campus, candidates must be local residents and must be employed full-time.
Students should have a proficient level of English competence, both orally and written. English as a Foreign Language courses are offered to prepare those students who may need them for this program. A TOEFL score of 550 is expected.

Graduation Requirements:
In addition to the graduation requirements for all graduate students, candidates for the Master of Business Administration degree in International Business must complete the following:

45 semester credits at graduate level, composed of courses listed at the link below.
Graduate courses in the following seven core subject areas must be successfully completed: finance, advanced accounting, international management, international marketing, production management, methods of research and analysis, and a capstone course.
Students who did not complete information technology coursework will be required to take an IT course. These course requirements are listed in the downloadable document below.
Either a final comprehensive examination or, subject to the decision of a program advisor, a thesis requiring a formal oral defense in lieu of the comprehensive examination. The thesis is in addition to the 45-credit requirement. The thesis option is not available to Schiller Online students. An official copy of the GMAT score must be received directly from ETS and is required for graduation. Students are responsible for the costs associated with the test.
