The content of the Masters is divided into the following thematic modules, the period of professional practice and research:
Module preliminary analysis tools

Module I: Dimensions of Development
(175 hours: 17.5 credits)
Part I: The political dimension of development
- Political ideologies in contemporary Latin America.
- Modern Theories of Democracy: definitions, criteria and paradoxes of democratic government. Transitional consolidation of democracy, governance and quality of democracy in Latin America.
- Cooperation and Governance in Latin America. Crisis of governance and state reform in Latin America.
- Political and institutional reforms in Latin America. The problem of corruption and reforms designed to combat it. The reform of the justice systems in Latin America.
- The reform of public administration in Latin America: the positives and negatives of the Spanish experience
- The territorial dimension of governance. The unitary state, decentralization and federalism in Europe and Latin America. Intergovernmental relations and intergovernmental management: conceptual framework and application to the case of Latin America
- The size of process. What do the states. Concept and evolution of the welfare state in Europe and Latin America. Introduction to the study of public policy.

- The bodies of economic and financial cooperation: the World Bank (WB), the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Trade Organization (WTO) and its application to Latin America.
- The Development Assistance Committee of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
- The European Union policy for development and its impact on Latin America. Aids, instruments and networks for development cooperation between the European Union and Latin America.
- The development cooperation policy implementation in Spanish and Latin America.
- The decentralized development cooperation. Analysis of the cooperation policy of the CAM and the municipalities. Case studies.

Part III: NGO and international development cooperation
- The Non-Governmental Organizations for Development (NGO) and international cooperation.
- Action strategies of international cooperation of the NGO. Dimensions of activity: humanitarian assistance, economic development, education for development, gender and development.
- Sources of funding for development cooperation: public funding (EU AECID, autonomous regions, municipalities) and private funding (partners).
- Analysis of case studies of NGO development cooperation with Latin America.

Part IV: Tools in development cooperation
- Financial cooperation: development and microcredit.
- The project cycle: identification, design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
- Workshop on Logical Framework Approach (LFA): implementing development projects.

- Case studies and workshops.
Module III: Practices professional institutions and international cooperation (with the agreements signed with URJC) (minimum 150 hours – 15 credits)
The period of work experience, students will be held at the headquarters of partner agencies, institutions and agencies in the world of international cooperation and development-through special agreements signed with the Masters. Module IV: Research: Thesis (100 hours – 10 credits)
The group conducting an investigation or Tesina is the complement to the formal training received by students through academic modules, in order to deepen the study of one of the topics covered. In this way, allows enrichment through research topic guided by a tutor school, which allows the student to continue further research in the context of doctoral programs related to the topic of the Master, or to obtain specialized training facilitate their integration into the professional field of international cooperation.
The positive evaluation of the student grant Tesina 10 credits and will be based on th
