Our bachelor programme in “International Management” educates future professional and executive employees who would like to work in a global management context. It provides a broad and sound knowledge of business economics with a focus on the field of “International Management”.
The main focus lays on international service companies. Beyond profound management skills our students get qualified for acting successfully in a scientific, international and intercultural business context where there is the need for Lifelong Learning.

The International Business major offers career-minded students the opportunity to gain a broad understanding of the major areas of business as well as knowledge of and experience with management issues which are related to the conduct of business in a global environment. Graduates of the International Business program go on to find challenging managerial careers in private businesses, government, and non-profit organizations that operate internationally.
The International Business program is designed to introduce students to areas that are critical to an understanding of how businesses operate: economics, finance, accounting, management, marketing, and information management. In addition, the international focus of the program requires that students become knowledgeable about global management, international marketing, international economics and finance, as well as ethical considerations involved in conducting business in a global environment.
Students supplement classroom learning with real world projects and overseas experience.

Introduction
The Master of Science (M.S.) in International Business program offered in partnership with Thunderbird School of Global Management prepares future leaders to succeed in the dynamic world of global business. The program is designed to enable participants to build a strong understanding of how businesses function and compete in the contemporary worldwide economy.
On successful completion of the program, students should have a knowledge and understanding of:
The nature of managing business in an international context and the complex pressures toward globalization and internationalization of business;
The ethical and cultural factors that impact on business management in an international context;
The dynamics of organizational change and development within an international context;
The opportunities and challenges presented by regional and emergent economies; and
Information technologies as they impact upon organizations and inform management decision making in a changing organizational environment.
Additionally, successful completion of the program will enable students to develop their core skills and competencies within the areas of team working, communications, interpersonal skills, problem solving and research.
The Master of Science in International Business program is delivered over an intensive period of 24 months at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi and/or Dubai.

Entry Requirements
A business-related or people-related degree from a UK university or equivalent.
If English is not your first language, or if your qualifying degree was not in English, you are expected to demonstrate English language ability at a level equivalent to IELT 6.0 (TOEFL 550 or Computer Based 213) before commencing your studies.
An essential criterion for admission to the course is your ability to complete the course satisfactorily and to benefit from it.
Introduction
The overall aim of the course is to educate you as a Human Resource Manager in an international context and improve the quality of your professional development. The course aims to develop an integrated and critically aware understanding of international management and organisations and to prepare you for effective future roles within them.
There are four main purposes to the course:
The advanced study of organisations, their people management and the changing external context in which they operate.
Preparation for a career in leadership in international human resource management in the UK or overseas through development of appropriate skills at a professional or equivalent level.
Development of the ability to apply knowledge and understanding of people management in work organisations to complex issues, both systematically and creatively, to improve business and management practice.
Enhancement of lifelong learning skills and personal development to enable you to work with self-direction and originality and to contribute to business and society at large.

The Research Methods and Techniques module provides you with comprehensive training in research skills.
