Course Outline
The LLM International Business Law is available to students from both a legal and non-legal background. Our students have typically been law graduates, business graduates, legal professionals and people working in commercial fields both nationally and internationally. International business law is a fast-changing and increasingly complex area. This programme provides students with analytical and reflective skills and expertise in international business law. It provides a learning experience which will enable students to develop their academic ability and enhance their performance in employment and further develop their career opportunities. It provides the successful candidate with a recognised postgraduate qualification in international business law.
Course Content
Students from a non-law background take Foundations of Law. Core modules are in International Trade Law I, International Trade Law II, International Intellectual Property Law. Options are available in European Business Law, Market Regulation under EU Law, National and International Corporate Regulation or from a wide range of LLM modules covering employment law, environmental law, ICT law, Human rights and medical law. There is training in advanced legal research and the culmination of the programme is a 15,000 word dissertation.
