International Business BA Hons International Business at University Of Chester

(3 years full time or 4 years full time)

This degree programme is designed to create well-rounded graduates who combine knowledge with cognitive, practical and applied vocational skills needed for success and career progression in the modern world of international business. Our degree covers a balanced curriculum between the different business disciplines, supported by the development of applied business skills and an understanding of the international business world. It can be taken either as a three or four-year degree, depending on whether you wish to take advantage of a sandwich placement year at the end of Level 2.
The four year programme option (including one year, professional, paid work placement)

The academic content of Levels 1 and 2 of the programme is identical to that of the BA (Hons) International Business (three-year programme). The major difference is the professional, paid placement with a business organisation in your third year. Many of you will find that a year’s placement, by developing your business knowledge and skills, will enhance your academic performance in the final year of your degree, and increase your employability. Indeed, you may gain your first career employment from the placement.

Students research, choose and negotiate their one-year placement and enjoy a range of support services from us in this process.

Whilst on your year’s (12 month) placement, you will be supported by a Placement Tutor from the Department of Business and Management, who will visit you and your employer to help and advise you both.

On returning to us for the final year of your programme, you will follow the same programme as students on the final year of the three-year BA (Hons) in International Business.
