The new scheme of economic development in the country, in organizations requires the presence of a highly trained leaders and to date, capable of dealing effectively with the challenges of competitiveness, modernization and dynamism of an open economy.

The International Senior Management program during his eighteen years of existence and promotions twenty-eight was attended by prominent business leaders nationwide who have found the program excellent scenario to develop their skills and knowledge management and sharing experiences with colleagues from different regions and sectors of the economy.

University Icesi aware of this need, is at the forefront with this program to senior management.

Goal and Mission

• Objective: The International Senior Management program seeks to develop attitudes and strengths in the management of strategic management and foresight, to facilitate the development of leadership skills for decision making in a global economy.

• Mission: The mission of the International Senior Management program is to contribute to training, maintenance and improvement of the senior management of the Colombian organizations, under a comprehensive management approach as required by the conditions of economic openness.

Program period

The program has a duration of 12 months during which sessions will be conducted eight hours a day two or three days in the month, according to the academic program, which counted a total of 224 hours, and 24 hours of tutoring. Additionally, it requires 180 hours of personal work, for a total of 428 hours.

The sessions will be conducted at the University Icesi in rooms specially designed for the program, hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm, with lunch at the University. This schedule has been designed taking into account the many occupations and responsibilities of the assistants.

Program Structure

The program is based on three areas:

• Strategic Management: conducive to the development of management skills, vision, decision making, control and innovation. The modules developed in this area are:
- Strategic Management.
- Management of Operations.
- Preparation of the Organization for Change and Impact of
Technology Strategies in Business.

• The development of leadership skills: For the conduct of groups of organizations through the following modules:
- Human Behavior in the Organization.
- Ethics and Social Responsibility of Business.

• The internationalization of organizations includes aspects such as updating information on topics of international character (leading to identify business opportunities), knowledge of other cultures and key factors in the organization for international transactions. The modules that allow the development area are:
- Economic Environment of Colombia.
- Colombian and international political scene.
- International Negotiation.
- International Marketing.
- Finance NTERNATIONAL.

Short introduction
The master of Management Program in International Business was designed to fill the urgent demand of young managers, who need to understand the complex nature of the current business environment. They also need to be equipped with skills, knowledge and experience in international business management as well as in cross-cultural behavior.
With three regular semesters and one summer semester, the 36 credit-hour programs offers students two choice in order to complete the study program: Plan A, which requires a 12 credit-hour thesis, or Plan B, which requires a 3 credit-hour independent study.
We OFFER the Master of Management Program in International Business with the full support of our interdisciplinary and experienced faculty. We SEEK students who are actual players in today’s business community, and those who strive for challenging opportunities to venture into the complex world of global business. We KNOW that, in the year ahead, we will be supplying the business community, both nationally and internationally, with capable and ethical managers and business leaders.
